Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a cross-functional team of engineers and architects in the delivery of federal IT solutions.
  • Oversee the implementation of Agile and DevSecOps methodologies across the development lifecycle.
  • Manage resource allocation, project timelines, and technical budgets for large-scale engineering initiatives.
  • Collaborate with program managers and agency stakeholders to define technical roadmaps and delivery milestones.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables meet federal quality standards and technical implementation requirements for NIST 800-53.
  • Drive continuous improvement through the adoption of new tools, automation, and technical best practices.
  • Facilitate technical reviews and resolve roadblocks to ensure high-velocity team performance.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in software or systems engineering.
  • 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership or management role supporting federal contracts.
  • Deep expertise in Agile development methodologies and modern engineering practices.

Preferred Certifications

  • Federal & Security: CISSP or CISM.
  • Domain-Specific: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
  • Architecture/Management: PMP or Certified Scrum Master (CSM).

Technical Skills

  • Project Management: JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Project.
  • Methodologies: Agile, Scrum, Kanban, DevSecOps.
  • Development: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and automated testing frameworks.
  • Cloud: Understanding of AWS GovCloud or Azure Government management.

Regulatory & Domain Expertise

  • Demonstrated expertise in applying FedRAMP and NIST 800-53 compliance standards to delivery.
  • Technical implementation of security-driven development (SDLC) practices.
  • Knowledge of the federal procurement process and technical proposal development.

Clearance Requirement

  • Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret) or eligibility to obtain one.
