Overview

Acuity is searching for a dynamic, talented, and experienced Software  Trainer to join our National Security Practice. The ideal candidate will focus on leading customers through custom training and user enablement initiatives.

The software trainer is responsible for creating instructional materials and providing support to help users become proficient in new IT systems. The trainer will collaborate with subject matter experts to define course design, select delivery formats, and develop supporting course materials.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain training materials and resources to support user learning 
  • Update existing business process documentation to reflect changes introduced by new systems 
  • Conduct training sessions for individuals and groups, both in person and online, on new systems 
  • Provide ongoing support to users, answer questions, and offer follow-up training or refresher courses 
  • Work with cross-functional teams to assess training progress and the effectiveness of the training approach, and recommend improvements 
  • Assess and evaluate learner progress 
  • Provide ad hoc training and support as needed 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in training, education, or a related field preferred 
  • At least three (3) years of applicable work experience 
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills 
  • Ability to provide effective feedback and assess user progress 
  • Familiarity with different training delivery methods, such as webinars, one-on-one coaching, and classroom instruction 
  • Ability to execute tasks with a high level of autonomy in an unstructured environment 
  • Demonstrated agile mindset with flexibility, open-mindedness, and willingness to adjust to changing program direction 
  • Strong understanding of general business concepts and processes 
  • Proficient user of standard Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint) 

 

Clearance Requirements

  • Must be US Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain DHS Suitability
