The Managing Director serves as an integral part of our fast-paced, growing environment by leading new business growth and sustaining and expanding the current business portfolio. Supporting the VP of the Business Unit, the Managing Director is a key decision maker, leader, mentor, and motivator to his/her team and is responsible for ensuring all performance, cost, and schedule goals within the business unit are being met.
Strategic Planning
· Assist with the development and delivery of the overall business plan for the business unit, directly correlating with assigned growth goals.
Operations Management
· Provide leadership for operating performance.
· Own the customer relationship for designated programs and provide a high degree of customer service.
· Evaluate operational processes and procedures, and develop strategies and implementation plans to improve and standardize all aspects of operations.
· Possess a thorough understanding of contractual requirements.
· Ensure the smooth, effective operation of multiple concurrent projects targeting a diverse client base.
· Collaborate, coordinate, and communicate effectively with corporate support functions.
· Meet or be below the turnover target.
Business Development
· Assist with the development of a detailed account plan aligning with the strategic directions established by Acuity as well as the customer mission, vision, and objectives.
· Apply technology to meet customer business needs and to shape solutions specific to customer requirements.
· Prioritize professional services that will benefit the company and impact key business metrics.
· Ensure excellent customer relations, as well as engage in high-priority interactions with clients. Manage customer relationships and communicate opportunities and issues to leadership.
· Coordinate business development activities with other teammates to maximize the ability to deliver solutions.
· Assist in developing, maintaining, and advancing accurate business opportunities in Salesforce.
· Assist in developing and briefing bid/no bid recommendations and assist in developing pursuit and capture strategies for new business opportunities; build business cases for advancing opportunities via comprehensive gate reviews.
· Forecast new business.
· Meet or exceed the annual revenue generation target.
· Support proposal efforts for recompetes and new contracts.
Qualifications:
· Must have at least 8+ years of Government Contracting experience.
· Must have proven track record of achieving financial and business goals.
· Excellent written and oral communication.
· Must be able to work effectively with integrated task teams consisting of internal staff, subcontractor staff, and Government customer representatives (procurement and program).
· Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
· Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
· This position involves responding to customer needs and requires the flexibility to work extended hours when required. Travel also may be required.
