Acuity, Inc. seeks dynamic, self-motivated individuals with experience as a Data Scientist streamlining processes with customer data.  We are looking for experienced Data Scientists that can work closely with customers and be a liaison with the team. This Data Scientist will have a background in finance and /or resource management and recent experience with the customer's budget and finance applications. Must have experience with Python, XML, and APIs.

Tracking federal budgetary funds, portfolio and resource management, data analysis and visualization, managing project schedules, EVM, MVIs, Business and Finance.

 

Responsibilities:

• Work closely with the data scientists and technical team to implement requirements; however, the client’s GTM will manage the priorities.
• Preprocess or clean structured and unstructured client data.
• Design and implement advanced code and table configurations for complex data sets.
• Stay current with the enterprise metadata collection tools.
• Produce ad hoc metrics reports to answer immediate needs.
• Implement the client’s existing coordination process.
• Provide technical education to staff on an ad-hoc basis.
• Analyze large amounts of raw data to provide new business insights.

Required Skills:

• Experience writing, maintaining, and customizing Python scripts that extract text from various formats such as MS Word, PDF, or XML.
• Experience reviewing documentation and APIs of commonly used packages to choose the one with the best fit for a given task and implement it.
• Experience writing Python scripts that pull data from web-based APIs and relational databases.
• Experience with implementing regular expressions.
• Experience conducting evaluations or transformations of data and loading the results into a relational database.
• Experience with SQL in Oracle.
• Computer science background required. 

 

Preferred Skills:

• Experience addressing procedural and administrative issues within the assigned problem set.
• Experience with web analytics processing and procedures.
