Acuity Inc. is growing! We are looking to staff a Senior ServiceNow ITSM Developer supporting one of our premier federal clients.

Seeking a well-rounded ServiceNow Senior Developer that successfully combines their extensive ServiceNow development and implementation experience with excellent communication skills (both written and verbal). A self-starter able to lead and mentor less experienced ServiceNow consultants while actively managing various project tasks. Experienced ServiceNow SME that keeps up with latest ServiceNow updates and changes. Leverages knowledge to add value and is comfortable giving demos to prospective clients.

Responsibilities

  • Monitors and manages overall ServiceNow ITSM and ITBM application suite configurations
  • Provides architectural input and maintains stability of the overall platform by ensuring the appropriate design and development standards are used at all times.
  • Develops ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, one or more Web Services, XML, HTML and CSS
  • Experience developing custom portal web pages in ServiceNow using Bootstrap and AngularJS frameworks
  • Works with functional and admin teams to deliver automated workflow solutions in ServiceNow
  • Experience integrating third-party software with ServiceNow
  • Facilitates and supports the rollout of application updates and new enhancements in ServiceNow
  • Collaborates effectively with ServiceNow Administrators to develop solutions, handle general updates and configuration changes/requests
  • Proactively identifies system deficiencies and recommends solutions
  • Ensures the latest release of ServiceNow application is implemented in a timely manner with minimal or no disruption to production operations
  • Leads functional workshops, gathers detailed requirements, and ensures technology design and solutions are aligned with business requirements
  • Maintenance and continuous improvement of processes, standards, policies, working methods, and tools using Agile and ITIL best practices.
  • Understands the value in syncing development, test, and staging environments with production.
  • Ensures tool configuration consistency across development, test, staging and production environments.
  • Participates in ongoing production and end user support.
  • Performs gap analysis between current customer application configurations and vendor/industry best practices and recommendations
  • Configures ServiceNow ITSM and ITBM applications in alignment with approved design plans
  • Provides input to project plans, requirements documentation, scope, time estimates, and resource allocation
  • Monitors progress and makes mid-course corrections as needed to ensure projects are completed on schedule within budget
  • Uses effective change control practices to manage scope, customer expectations, timelines, and enforces and manages all change orders
  • Contacts customers to explain the status of issues and outline plans for resolving them
  • Conducts investigation activity/research and gives technical advice to the adoption or integration of existing and new enterprise applications
  • Knows unit testing, system integration testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing, or any client-specific testing
  • SME that is able to successfully tailor communication (verbal and written) to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications

  • 5 or more years’ experience using and developing solutions for the ServiceNow Platform.
  • 2 or more years configuring the IT Service Management and IT Business Management applications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or Business (or equivalent related field experience)
  • Developers ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, one or more Web Services, XML, HTML and CSS
  • Senior process and/or technical expert
  • Strong experience in ServiceNow Platform Development and Out-Of-Box application configuration
  • ITIL® Foundation certified
  • Excellent presentation skills and with experience in conducting ServiceNow Application functional workshops
  • Excellent communication skills demonstrating an ability to communicate on both a technical and project management level
  • Well-honed written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer service experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a consulting environment
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow latest version Kingston
  • Experience supporting both Cloud and On-Premise instances of ServiceNow
  • Experience with NIST Risk Management Framework

Experience with any of the following is a plus:

MS SharePoint, MS Office, MS Project, MS Visio, MSP-IT Knowledge, Agile Familiarity, Kinetic Request, Task and or Calendar, Configuration Management Database (CMDB), Reporting platforms, UNIX, Linux, Tomcat, Java, BMC Remedy ITSM or other ITSM tools, working knowledge of client

 

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must have active TS/SCI with Poly
