Overview

Acuity is looking for a Senior QA Tester with expansive testing experience. This person must possess a deep understanding of all aspects of testing plus agile development best practices.

Responsibilities

  • As part of our testing team you will be responsible for ensuring high-profile software applications used by senior officials and their staff, are of the highest software quality
  • As part of an agile software development team, you will actively participate in team discussions to contribute to producing functionalities that meet requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Identify test scenarios and generate detailed test scripts using industry best practices and with minimal supervision
  • Execute test cases and test plans using manual and automated methods
  • Independently identify, isolate, and document software defects
  • Maintain and expand existing test documentation, including test plans, test cases or scripts, and defect reports
  • Effectively communicate with project team and provide evidence to proceed with a software release
  • Assist with on-going process improvement efforts to ensure test planning, execution, and reporting methods are effective, efficient, standardized, coordinated, and integrated

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, systems engineering, or STEM related discipline, or equivalent related experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience as a software tester or quality analyst
  • Deep and demonstrated knowledge of comprehensive testing methodologies, tools, and best practices
  • Extensive experience in generating test plans, test strategies, test scenarios, and test cases
  • Strong knowledge of agile practices and experience with agile planning tools (e.g., MS DevOps & Test Plans, Jira)
  • Experience in evaluating test coverage, identifying gaps, providing feedback, and implementing solutions
  • Experience with automation tools such as Postman, Newman, Selenium, Cypress, Jasmine, etc. is a plus
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify, isolate and document defects
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Collaboration skills
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn
  • Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables
  • Cloud computing experience preferred (MS Azure and ServiceNow)

 Clearance Requirement

 

  • Must have Active DoD Secret clearance verified in DISS. Top Secret preferred
