Overview

Acuity, Inc. is an IT consulting company providing technical solutions to Federal agencies supporting National Security and Public Safety missions.   We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills in IT asset management and governance.  The Technology Asset Management Lead will provide the consolidation, modernization, streamlining, and automation of the different IT asset management processes and disciplines into an orchestrated, effective, and efficient enterprise service. Must live local to the DC, MD,VA area.

Responsibilities

 

Knowledge of and skill in applying the following:

  • Review the assets used in infrastructure and platform technologies
  • Maintain records of assessed technologies and standards for developing, operating, and maintaining enterprise applications. (team & collaboration with SME’s)
  • Lead the team’s assessment of technology or standards and collaborate with subject matter experts (SME's) for inclusion in the agency's technical reference model (TRM)
  • Provide full life cycle management of IT asset records, including acquisition, storage, distribution, movement and disposal of assets
  • Support the enterprise integration of ICT (Information Communication Technology) asset management with the agency’s security, change, and configuration management processes through workflow automation, and improve the transparency and traceability of IT management information
  • Manage the planning, identifying, controlling, accounting and auditing of configuration items (CIs) and their interrelationships through the change request management tool and the configuration management database (CMDB)
  • Implement and manage the operational processes for secure configuration, classification and management of CIs, and verifying and auditing configuration records
  • Identify and contribute to the integration of applicable government and industry standards, guidelines, regulations and best practices for ICT asset management, configuration and change control into the enterprise IT governance management strategies, policies, standards, and guidelines
  • Identify process streamlining and automation opportunities and lead the integration of process automation and industry best practices for improving the quality of IT service and management performance

Qualifications

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (or equivalent related field experience)
  • Extensive knowledge of Asset, Change, and Configuration Management processes
  • Strong understanding of the intersection of configuration management controls that address information security, risk management, and governance.
  • Experience working with the IT processes, organizational structures, policies and procedures, information flows, and infrastructure used to manage technologies
  • Working knowledge of ITIL processes, including IT Asset Management, Product Catalog, Change and Configuration Management
  • Familiarity with various hardware and software technologies and how to map them to the CI data and technology classification model
  • Strong interpersonal and team orientation skills in working with various levels of technical and business-oriented individuals

Preferred/Desired Qualifications

  • ITIL® Foundation, intermediate, or expert certifications
  • Knowledge of SCRUM and agile practices and experience with agile planning tools (e.g., Jira)
  • Prior government consulting experience
  • Knowledge of ServiceNow CMDB
  • Knowledge of IT Asset Management standards and guidance (e.g., ISO/IEC 19770, NIST SP 1800-5)
  • Knowledge of IT frameworks and reference models, such as COBIT, TBM or TRM from FEAF

 Clearance Requirements

  • Active DOD Secret clearance or higher
