Acuity, Inc. seeks a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience supporting federal customer as an M365 Systems Engineer. Acuity supports key Federal Government clients and we are looking for someone to support our client within the Department of State. The M365 Systems Engineer is expected to fill a dynamic role involving both consulting directly with clients to identify and architect solutions to client challenges and also serving as an engineer to test and implement viable solutions for various M365 applications.


The government has a new requirement to support the standup of Adobe eSignature for processing passports for Department of State. The candidate does not necessarily have to have Adobe experience, but will be expected to learn the technology and coordinate with Adobe support technicians to stand up the capability through the initial beginning phases before handing off to the operations and maintenance administration team members. The candidate will then begin to focus primarily on M365 application support, administration, and engineering activities.


This position located in Washington, DC and the candidate will be expected to work on-site at most 1 week every month, but the team does not expect the new engineer to be on-site on a regular basis to support the standup of Adobe eSignature. 


This is a client facing, service-oriented, technically driven deployment engineer position. The position requires attention to detail and the ability to independently follow written and verbal instructions provided by senior engineers and project managers. The ability to work through issues associated with Windows desktop configuration and software notably in the M365 OneDrive and SharePoint environments is key to success. The applicant must be able to successfully perform initial troubleshooting of Windows Desktop, Windows Server, group policy, and other related technical areas. An ability and willingness to consistently and comprehensively document all deployment issues is required.  The deployment engineer must have a drive toward deployment goals while managing multiple simultaneous deployments. Experience with TCP/IP networking, virtual systems, and server installation and configuration is a plus. Some experience providing daily deployment support for world-wide remote customers is helpful.


  • Customer satisfaction which simply means ensuring that customers have a good M365 user experience
  • Independently work with DoS world-wide Posts and domestic technical staff to migrate Post file servers into the M365 cloud
  • Manage the OneDrive activations for post
  • Restore .pst files from backups in the domestic data centers
  • Work with the email group to migrate .pst files into M365
  • Restore shared data in the domestic data centers and migrate to SharePoint Online
  • Site design review
  • Software testing and deployment



  • Bachelor's Degree with experience in a related Information Technology field
  • At least four (4) years overall system engineering experience including: Windows server 2016 or higher, Windows desktop, One Drive, SharePoint, Enterprise Backup Software, Microsoft Teams
  • Previously customized and configured M365 MS Teams across multiple projects
  • M365 Architecture
  • Basic knowledge of PowerShell scripting, PowerApps and PowerAutomate
  • High level knowledge of AD, GPO's, Permissions, OUs and Groups
  • SharePoint migration tool experience


Desired Qualifications:

  • Sufficient knowledge of Microsoft Exchange
  • Department of State Experience
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure
  • Experience in Cloud Migration
  • Aptitude for understanding and troubleshooting technical problems


Security Requirements:

  • Must hold a current Active Secret clearance, Top Secret preferred
