Business Analyst (ServiceNow)

Acuity, Inc. seeks a dynamic Business Analyst to join our project management team in supporting a highly visible Federal customer. Acuity supports key Federal Government clients and we are looking for someone to support our client within the Department of State. It would be helpful if you have worked in the Federal space, especially cabinet level departments. Experience supporting the Department of State is preferred.

As a Business Analyst, you will serve as a dedicated team member who has primary responsibility to support their self-organizing, self-managing team successfully achieve their daily, iteration, and release goals and delivery objectives. They do so by effectively applying, implementing and enforcing Scrum principles and practices. The Business Analyst will also help protect the team from outside influences, which could otherwise interfere with the team's ability to deliver value in a short time-box (iteration). The Business Analyst will help to mentor the empowerment teams and assist the team in its transition to the new method, continuously facilitate a team dynamic intended to maximize performance of the team, and by continuously improving agile practices.

Other responsibilities to include but not be limited to:

• Formation and definition of project scope and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements.
• Develops understanding of business needs of multiple stakeholders or product owner through a variety of elicitation techniques.
• Facilitates the negotiation of requirements amongst stakeholders or product owner.
• Helps business stakeholders envision how their processes will change with implementation of solution.
• Builds requirements to accurately and thoroughly capture business needs or ensures user stories are concise and complete.
• Builds and updates system requirements specification documents or other requirements related artifacts. 
• Guides and advises less-experienced Business Systems Analysts. 
• Able to interact with technical staff and work collaboratively to define technical solutions to solve business needs.
• Able to perform responsibilities utilizing agile or waterfall software development methodologies.

• BS/BA in related field
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant, professional experience
• Minimum of two (2) years of direct experience with ServiceNow products and platform
• ServiceNow certification
• Experience engaging with business stakeholders to gather/analyze requirements and map them to solutions that leverage ServiceNow functionality
• Experience conducting stakeholder interviews and facilitating stakeholder workshops
• Experience performing configuration and customization of ServiceNow
• Demonstrated understanding of ServiceNow best practices and functionality
• ServiceNow implementation experience as a staff member
• Demonstrated experience with managing organizational change management and adoption plans for ServiceNow application launch
• Demonstrated experience as part of a team that implemented enterprise level ServiceNow applications
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to be able to work on tight timelines
• Team player

Required Clearance:

• Interim secret; Secret or TS preferred
