    Acuity, Inc. seeks a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience working on project teams. Your expertise will facilitate the execution of IT projects by evaluating project feasibility; establishing, developing, implementing, and controlling project plans; supporting operations; and analyzing project results.

     

    In this role, you will serve as the Product Owner and be serve as the voice of the customer and proactively represent stakeholders. Through the creation, prioritization, management and execution of the product backlog, the Product Owner collaborates cross-functionally and focuses the development team on a clear vision of the product, its goals and delivery. The Product Owner has deep customer knowledge, an excellent ability to transform strategic intent into fully elaborated requirements in the form of user stories, feature specifications and acceptance criteria. The Product Owner drives and articulates product value delivery through the agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily scrum, demo and retrospectives seeking improvement through every Sprint.

     

    Responsibilities

     

    • Owns, manages, develops and prioritizes product backlog of user stories in JIRA. Clearly communicates the requirements to the team and works with individual team members as needed to explain requirements.
    • This position proactively supports stakeholders throughout the organization to provide solutions to their system application needs, performs business analysis, requirements development, process documentation, business solution needs, and reporting.
    • Establishes user story acceptance criteria, accepts user stories into the baseline. Defines sprints and stories content, accepts sprint goals. Drives sprint goals and sprint delivery and acts the sole owner for acceptance of sprint delivered development.
    • Assist development teams in researching, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues, documenting solutions, and managing bug fix release cycles.
    • Work alongside UX Designer to develop detailed product wireframes and provide product management support to Engineering teams during the development and QA cycles.
    • Ensure both quality and functional goals are met with each sprint by accepting user stories once all acceptance criteria are met.
    • Work with QA and analyze data and test results to ensure integrity is maintained throughout program lifecycle and ensure requirements are satisfied.
    • Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously with strong time management skills.
    • Facilitate client facing meetings to understand requirements and help prioritize organizational strategies and plans.
    • Coordinate and lead project team meetings with technical staff and other key stakeholders.
    • Control project plan by managing changes, reviewing open issues, and communicating essential information to project team and stakeholders.
    • Prepare project status reports and presentations by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information.

    Qualifications

    Required Skills

    • 3-5 years of project management experience with federal government agencies, end to end product development, execution and leading teams.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
    • Strong prioritization skills and ability to gather information quickly re-prioritize in a dynamic environment.
    • Working knowledge of the Atlassian Suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
    • Strong analytical and project management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs in order to be a successful advocate for the customer.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, relationship building skills, coordination and people skills to promote improvement of relationships between team members and the overall organization.
    • Experience leading multiple, related projects and their resources to achieve strategic business goals.
    • Experience in briefing and providing reports and communications to senior management.
    • Experience in establishing and communicating an IT governance model.
    • Top Secret Clearance (or at a minimum, the candidate must have a current Secret and be clearable for a Top Secret).

    Preferred Skills

    • Familiarity with State Department, IRM, and the Managing State Projects (MSP) project lifecycle.
    • IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification.
    • Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP and/or PgMP certification strongly preferred.
    • Prior experience working within a PMO.
    • Business process engineering experience.
    • Strong Technical knowledge of APIs and cloud based solutions
    • Organized, controlled, engaged, polished meeting management.
    • Ability to be decisive.
    • Experience with Agile methods and tools.
