    Acuity is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join a cutting-edge Enterprise Architecture program in support of our mission-critical Federal customer.  Acuity has been hand-selected to create a data-driven architecture resource which will facilitate and promote shared advancement of knowledge and security across the enterprise.

    The primary responsibilities of the Business Analyst include:

    • Interfacing with clients to define user requirements and to discuss issues, questions, and project status.
    • Understanding system capabilities and how the capabilities can meet the client’s business objectives.
    • Analyzing user requirements to identify implicit and ambiguous requirements.
    • Composing technical documentation to detail the requirements in a clear and well-organized manner.
    • Interfacing with the software development team to translate user requirements into system requirements
    • Participating in application validation to ensure that client’s requirements are met.
    • Managing requirements throughout the project.



    • Active DOD/DSS SECRET security clearance or higher.
    • Bachelor’s Degree or Masters in Computer Science or Information Systems.
    • At least five (5) years’ experience in a related Information Technology field.
    • At least three (3) years’ experience in developing requirements.
    • At least three (3) years’ experience writing technical documents.
    • At least three (3) years’ experience in a client facing role; federal clients preferred.
    • Excellent writing and communication skills.
    • Able to take initiative, manage own workload, and assume responsibility for tasks.
    • Able to multi-task, handle multiple projects, and meet internal and client deadlines.


    • Familiarity with State Department and the Managing State Projects for Information Technology (MSP-IT) project cycle.
    • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
    • Experience with User Interface designs and mockups.
    • Experience with business process improvement or business process re-engineering.
    • Previous experience working with Federal Government clients is highly desirable.
