    Acuity Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect.

    The Solutions Architect:

    • Participate in Business Development and Capture activities through devising technical solutions, staffing solutions & labor build up, overall approach and architecture in response to proposals, request for information, request for quote etc. with complete ownership of technical volumes.
    • Participate in gate reviews and opportunity analysis; provide input into go/no-go decisions.
    • Solid understanding of multiple SDLCs (traditional, agile, lean etc.).
    • Expert in define and creating overarching solution, architecture, system, and component interaction diagrams; Provide multiple solutions to client problems with explained tradeoffs for each solution.
    • Before build vs. buy analysis; provide rough order of magnitude (ROM) analysis.
    • Create proof of concepts, white papers, and presentations for clients to showcase company capabilities to existing and future clients.
    • Foster a culture of collaboration and knowledge sharing.
    • Act as subject matter expertise on providing solutions for modernization plans and proposal requests relating to cloud automation and migration approaches especially in areas of CI/CD and DevSecOps.
    • Stay on top of emerging technologies and trends; architect and design solutions leveraging those technologies; propose use cases for these emerging technologies to solve current and future client challenges.
    • Support organizational capability development and maturity.

    Qualifications

    .spEducation and experience requirement:

    • Bachelors degree, or equivalent degree, in computer science or related area of study, (with preference for Masters degree), AND at least 10 years in IT related experience.
    • Must have demonstrated project management skills.
    • Must have direct hands-on experience in architecting and growing flexible, scalable, and highly-available systems.
    • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to interact 
and be involved with client negotiations and interfacing with senior management.
    • Must have experience leading and collaborating with technical teams of diverse IT related skill sets.
    • Must have experience in DevOps, Continuous Delivery and ITIL concepts to lead an effective support operation.

     

    Clearance requirement:

    • Ability to obtain a DHS Suitability/Entry on Duty (EOD).

    Travel:

    • Be willing to travel, as needed, to client locations, to conferences, for speaking engagements, etc..
