    Kalani Consulting, a member of the Kalani Consulting-Acuity joint venture, is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated individual with experience and skills as a Sr. Office Support Specialist/Executive Assistant.  Kalani-Acuity supports key federal government clients, and we are looking for someone to support a mission critical effort within the Department of State.  Previous work experience in the federal space is ideal.  Prior experience with the Department of State is preferred however, not required.




    The Mobile Solutions/Systems Engineer is expected to immediately immerse themselves in the current AirWatch build-out and prepare for deployment.  This position works with a tight-knit technical team onsite with our government customer located in Springfield, VA. Ours is a team of innovative problem solvers; we will spend time integrating our solution with other enterprise systems and troubleshooting alongside other teams. We are often driven by tight deadlines and need our MDM team to be flexible and work within those deadline constraints and deliver a working solution


    A typical week will involve technical collaboration and hands-on implementation of production and lab systems, collaboration with engineers on other teams and with vendor resources.  In addition, regular status meetings, and collaboration on implementing, expanding, and optimizing the AirWatch MDM solution in production.  The Mobile Solutions/System Engineer will have a high degree of independence while working with the client and must be a motivated self-starter that is able to take a project from initiation to completion and collaborate with the Operations team to support the system in production.

    • Coordinate with vendors and test hardware and software in labs
    • Serve as Tier 2.5/Tier 3 engineering support for operational mobile solutions (including but not limited to laptops and tablets)
    • Escalate issues to vendors for troubleshooting issues with production systems
    • Document configurations and designs of mobile solutions while communicating regularly with IT operational and IT security groups 
    • Coordinate with firewall, networks and systems engineering teams to ensure solutions are integrated into the enterprise smoothly, and that supported systems are monitored and maintained
    • Develop and execution of test cases in different test environments, facilitate security assessments with applicable experts and document through all aspects of a project including requirements, field and table-level descriptions, design, test plans, and support documentation
    • Monitor and prioritize the defects/concerns and coordinating fixes with vendors.
    • Translate user requests into creative and effective technical designs



    • Bachelor's degree in computer science, MIS, or related discipline, or equivalent related experience
    • Working Knowledge of AirWatch and/or experience with the any of following:   BES 10/12 (preferred), MobileIron (preferred), Good Technologies, Citrix XenMobile/ XenApp/ XenDesktop (preferred), IBM, Symantec, Microsoft Enterprise Mobility Suite (EMS), VMWare Horizon
    • Experience and knowledge of mobile device management, deployment and distribution
    • Excellent knowledge in mobile software architecture and design patterns
    • Good understanding of server virtualization technologies and basic configurations including network and server security
    • Ability to coordinate and manage the build process for various MDM solutions in the Test environment
    • Derived Credentialing and NIST 800-157
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Ability to multitask and prioritize multiple high visibility projects
    • Comprehensive understanding of new technology platforms and capabilities

    Clearance Requirements:

    • Must have Active DoD Secret clearance, Top Secret Preferred
